Posts - Content History

The Posts page provides a comprehensive view of all your generated content, allowing you to browse, search, and manage your content history.

Overview

The Posts page displays all generated content in a searchable, sortable table. This includes:

  • Content generated manually from the Stories page
  • Content generated from scheduled posts
  • Content created in Advanced Mode
  • All content types (Newsletter, Blog Post, Social Media, Video Content, Email Outreach)

Content Table

The content table shows the following information for each piece of content:

Date Column

  • Creation Date - When the content was generated
  • Format: "MMM d, yyyy" (e.g., "Jan 15, 2025")
  • Sorted by date (newest first by default)

Type Column

  • Content Type Icon - Visual indicator matching the content type
  • Content Type Name - Newsletter, Blog Post, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, etc.
  • Color-coded by content type for easy identification

Description Column

  • AI-Generated Summary - Brief description of the content
  • Helps you quickly identify what each piece of content is about
  • Truncated in the table with full text available on hover

Word Limit Column

  • Target Word Count - The word limit set during generation (if applicable)
  • Primarily relevant for blog posts and long-form content
  • Shows "-" if no word limit was set

Story Count Column

  • Number of Stories - How many stories were used to generate the content
  • Shows "-" if no stories were used (e.g., trending topic content)
  • Helps understand the content's source material

Actions Column

  • View - Opens content in a preview modal or navigates to full page
  • Delete - Removes content (hold Shift to skip confirmation)

Interacting with Content

Viewing Content

Click on a Row:

  • Opens content in a preview modal overlay
  • Allows quick review without leaving the page

Cmd/Ctrl+Click:

  • Opens content in a new browser tab
  • Useful for comparing multiple pieces of content

Shift+Click:

  • Navigates to the full content page
  • Provides full editing capabilities

View Button:

  • Click the actions menu (three dots) and select "View"
  • Same behavior as clicking the row

Content Preview Modal

The preview modal shows:

  • Full Content - Complete generated content with formatting
  • Content Metadata - Type, date, word limit, story count, tie-ins
  • Source Stories - Links to the stories used in generation
  • Actions - Edit, delete, or navigate to full page

Editing Content

Content can be edited from:

  • Preview Modal - Click "Edit" to navigate to the full content page
  • Full Content Page - Direct editing with auto-save
  • Changes are saved automatically as you type

Deleting Content

Standard Delete:

  1. Click the actions menu (three dots)
  2. Select "Delete"
  3. Confirm deletion in the dialog

Quick Delete:

  • Hold Shift while clicking delete to skip confirmation
  • Useful for bulk content cleanup

Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Content Filtering and Sorting

Sorting

The table supports sorting by:

  • Date - Newest or oldest first (default: newest)
  • Type - Alphabetical by content type
  • Description - Alphabetical by description text

Click column headers to change sort order.

Searching

Use the search functionality to find specific content:

  • Search by description text
  • Search by content type
  • Search by date range (when available)

Content Details

Understanding Content Metadata

Scheduled Post Link:

  • If content was generated from a scheduled post, it will show a link to the schedule
  • Helps track which content came from automation

Story Count:

  • Indicates how many stories were used
  • Higher counts typically mean more comprehensive content
  • Zero means content was generated from topics only

Tie-In Count:

  • Shows how many product tie-ins were included
  • Helps track product/service mentions in content

Word Limit:

  • Target word count for the content
  • Actual word count may vary slightly
  • Primarily relevant for blog posts

Content Organization

By Content Type

Filter or group content by type:

  • Newsletters - Email content
  • Blog Posts - Long-form articles
  • Social Media - Platform-specific posts
  • Video Content - Scripts for short-form video
  • Email Outreach - Business outreach emails

By Date

View content chronologically:

  • Recent Content - Latest generated content
  • Historical Content - Older content for reference
  • Scheduled Content - Content generated from schedules

By Source

Identify content by generation method:

  • Manual Generation - Created from Stories page
  • Scheduled Posts - Generated automatically
  • Advanced Mode - Created with full customization

Best Practices

Content Review Workflow

  1. Regular Review - Check the Posts page weekly to review generated content
  2. Quality Check - Verify content meets your standards before publishing
  3. Edit as Needed - Make adjustments to match your voice and style
  4. Archive Old Content - Delete outdated content to keep the list manageable

Content Management

  • Keep Recent Content - Maintain the last 30-60 days of content for reference
  • Delete Test Content - Remove test or low-quality content regularly
  • Organize by Project - Use separate projects for different content themes

Content Reuse

  • Repurpose Content - Use existing content as inspiration for new pieces
  • Reference History - Review past content to maintain consistency
  • Learn from Patterns - Identify what types of content work best for your audience

Troubleshooting

Content Not Appearing

Check:

  • Was content generated successfully?
  • Are you viewing the correct project?
  • Is the content table loading?

Solutions:

  • Verify content generation completed without errors
  • Check that you're in the right project
  • Refresh the page to reload content

Can't Find Specific Content

Check:

  • Are you using the correct search terms?
  • Is the content in a different project?
  • Was the content deleted?

Solutions:

  • Try different search terms
  • Check other projects
  • Review content history if available

Content Details Missing

Check:

  • Was content generated with all required information?
  • Are there any errors in the content record?

Solutions:

  • Regenerate content if details are missing
  • Check for error messages in the content generation process
